Prevention and treatment of child to child sexual abuse
The Royal Commission is examining treatment options for children who display sexually harmful behaviours. This information will be used to develop recommendations reflecting best practice in this field.
The Royal Commission is examining community prevention approaches to prevent child sexual abuse before it occurs. We are interested in addressing the underlying factors contributing to child sexual abuse at the population wide level. Our aims with this work are to;
promote healthy relationships among young people
educate individuals, organisations and the broader community about risk and protective factors related to child sexual abuse.
challenge societal attitudes and beliefs that may facilitate child sexual abuse.
