The Royal Commission will deliver its decision on Monday in relation to an application made by Cardinal George Pell to give evidence in Case Study 28 (Ballarat) and Case Study 35 (Archdiocese of Melbourne) by video link from Rome.
The Royal Commission will also deliver its decision in relation to the circumstances in which Bishop Ronald Mulkearns’ could give evidence in the third part of the public hearing in Case Study 28.
This follows a directions hearing held this morning to consider the applications. The decision will be delivered by Justice Peter McClellan AM, Chair of the Royal Commission, and will be live-streamed.
