Royal Commission presents first case study findings
The Royal Commission's Report into Case Study No. 1: The response of institutions to the conduct of Steven Larkins, was released today.
The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse today presented the report of its first case study to the Governor-General and Governors of each State.
The report outlines the findings of Commissioners after reviewing evidence from the Royal Commission’s first public hearing held in September 2013.
The institutions examined in that public hearing were Scouts Australia, the NSW Police Force, the NSW Department of Community Services and the Hunter Aboriginal Children’s Service.
Public release of the report is a matter for the Commonwealth and State Governments.
