The Royal Commission held a public hearing in Sydney from Monday 28 November to Friday 2 December 2016.

The public hearing inquired into issues raised in the Royal Commission’s Consultation Paper on Criminal Justice.

The scope and purpose of the public hearing was to inquire into:

1. Issues raised in the Royal Commission’s Consultation Paper on Criminal Justice. 

2. The experience of a survivor of child sexual abuse in an institutional context in the criminal justice system in a recently concluded prosecution in New South Wales. 

3. Any related matters.
